Season One[]
New Canton and Abel Township have an antagonistic relationship towards each other. It's not uncommon for runners to lead a group of zombies towards their rival settlement.[3]
One of New Canton's satellite settlements falls to the zombie virus, sending seventy new zombies headed towards the settlement of Brunswick.[4]
Someone from New Canton claiming to be a rebel makes contact with Janine De Luca over Rofflenet. telling her that they've arranged for a supply cache to be picked up just outside the city. In reality, New Canton is setting a trap for whichever runner Abel sends. Runner Five is caught in the trap, but manages to escape.[5]
New Canton sends a group of runners out to the old mill in search of extra food stores, but when they opened the basement they found it full of zombies. Many of the runners were bitten and turned, including Runner 38, Lem.[6]
Following Lem's death, New Canton is unwilling to replace him with another runner so they retire the number 38.[7]
New Canton contacts a woman named Tess and offers her private sleeping quarters, unlimited hot warer, and fresh fruit rations in exchange for her stealing some laptops and storage devices from Abel Township. New Canton's plan is to use the knowledge in the drives to bring down Abel's communications and leave them defenseless. However, this plan failed when Tess was caught red-handed stealing the items.[8]
The Permanent Advisory Council decides to raid Abel Township for supplies that they believe Abel to be hoarding.[7]
After learning that Professor Van Ark is planning to attack New Canton, they launch an assault against the Jeffro Complex where he is currently located. New Canton Runners Five and Twenty place a series of six bombs around the perimeter of the building and detonate them. Van Ark manages to escape in a helicopter, heading north.[9]
Gunshots are fired near a group of New Cantons runners. Assuming the shooters to be from Abel Township, New Canton decides to initiate their raid within the next 24 hours.[10]
New Canton launches their attack against Abel Township. However, the attack has to be aborted before it can even reach Abel's walls after a massive horde of at least three hundred zombies is spotted coming from the north.[11]
New Canton's runners use flares to direct the zombies towards Abel Township.[12]
Season Two[]
After Abel Township is hit by a rocket launcher attack, New Canton takes in the refugees. The two settlements form a tentative alliance after learning that they had both been targeted by Professor Van Ark.[13]
New Canton places Nadia under house arrest after she purposefully sends Abel Township's Runner Five into hostile territory in an attempt to get them killed.[14]
New Canton hosts a three-day peace summit with Abel Township to discuss putting aside their differences and working together to defeat Van Ark.[15]
After the successful peace summit, New Canton wishes for Nadia to return to her duties as radio operator, so Esteban Sosa of the Permanent Advisory Council and Runner Five head to Lem's old home to retrieve a message he left for Nadia. After hearing the message, Nadia apologizes for her actions. She and Runner Five have a talk about what happened between them.[16]
New Canton sends many of its runners to join with Abel's runners in acting as decoys so that Archie and Abel's Runner Five can sneak into one of Van Ark's secret bases.[17]
When the decoy plan fails and Archie is captured, New Canton agrees to let Abel send a small party out to retrieve her, as a large rescue party would attract too much attention.[18]
Abel's runners manage to locate where Van Ark is holding Archie. New Canton agrees with their plan of setting off an incendiary device to force Van Ark to flee. New Canton sends out reinforcements on quad bikes, however they don't arrive in time - Van Ark kills Archie and manages to escape in his helicopter.[19]
Abel Township is evacuated due to a dangerous chemical spill, so New Canton agrees to take in the entire population until it is safe for them to return.[20]
After learning that Van Ark is planning to send an army of fast zombies to attack New Canton and Abel Township, New Canton's soldiers prepare to defend their settlement.
