MAXINE MYERS: Runner Five, it’s Doctor Myers. We’re running low on antibiotics, so I need you to head down to the hospital. Pass a few pharmacies on the way and see what you can find.
[gate siren, gates raising, gunfire]
MAXINE MYERS: So, I hear you volunteered for a meds run, eh? That’s great. Good for the base, good for you. We’re always in need of any extra medical supplies you can find. It means we can treat low-grade problems before they become serious.
[gate siren, gates raising, gunfire]
MAXINE MYERS: We need those meds pretty bad. Several people wounded after fending off a zombie attack. We shot those who got bitten, but we badly need splints and bandages to deal with cuts and broken bones. We need you, Runner Five.
[gate siren, gates raising, gunfire]
MAXINE MYERS: We can never have too many vitamins. Food stocks aren’t looking as good as they could be, and we need everyone here to stay healthy.

MAXINE MYERS: There are three zombies on your tail. Run to shake them off, or you’ll never be able to pick up the meds!
MAXINE MYERS: Why do they always congregate around the hospital? It’s as if something there is drawing them.
MAXINE MYERS: They’re gaining on you, Runner Five. Put some distance between you.
MAXINE MYERS: The pharmacy’s down that way. Might be something we haven’t picked up yet.
MAXINE MYERS: You know, I sent Runner Three here once. All he came back with was five dozen packs of Viagra. See if you can do any better.
MAXINE MYERS: Homeopathic pharmacy? [laughs] Not unless you’re looking for glass bottles to throw at the zombies.
MAXINE MYERS: You’re passing by a nest of zombies. Looks like they’re feasting on – oh, no. I don’t – I don’t want to know. Just keep running, they’ll lose interest.
MAXINE MYERS: Five of them are chasing you! Keep going.
MAXINE MYERS: Head through the hospital grounds. You might pick up some med packs. The army started dropping them at the time of the outbreak, and they’re scattered all over the area.
MAXINE MYERS: I know it’s a long shot, but if you see a portable stretcher, we sure could use one.
MAXINE MYERS: Keep running, you’re losing them!
MAXINE MYERS: Look for sterile packs if you can find them, but even if they’re open, we’ll find some way to use them.
MAXINE MYERS: Runner Five, you’ve stumbled on a swarm. This area was supposed to be clear, I-I don’t understand. Run!
MAXINE MYERS: Any prescription meds will be useful. Don’t stop to read the labels, just throw them in your backpack and keep running.
MAXINE MYERS: You’re doing well, Runner Five. The things you’re picking up will save lives, maybe yours someday.
MAXINE MYERS: Zombie doctors always seem to be hanging around the hospital, as if they know there’s something they should be doing.
MAXINE MYERS: God, how can it keep moving with just those bloody stumps for legs? Ugh, this thing makes no medical sense!
MAXINE MYERS: We spent so long in the early days thinking we could find a cure, Runner Five, but I’m convinced now there is no cure. All we can do is try to survive.
MAXINE MYERS: If you find any more of those CDC boxes, just bring them home. Forget any of the other meds you’re carrying.
MAXINE MYERS: That’s great work, Runner Five! We need those supplies.
MAXINE MYERS: Yup, head to Bookman’s Pharmacy. They always kept good stock in.
MAXINE MYERS: Ah, [?]’s Clinic! Perfect for supplies.
MAXINE MYERS: [?] Pharmacy might have something. Check their stores.

MAXINE MYERS: Okay, your backpack’s full now. Carry as much as you can and head on home. The base is grateful to you, Runner Five. There’ll be an extra helping of soup for you in the canteen tonight.
MAXINE MYERS: We’re not going to forget this, Runner Five. You put your life on the line to get the meds we need. No biting into a wooden spoon for you. There’ll always be an anesthetic with your name on it.
MAXINE MYERS: Well done, Runner Five. There’s not as much left out there as we hoped, but every bit of medication helps.
MAXINE MYERS: I don’t know what you’ve picked up, Runner Five. It looks a pretty odd selection, but I’m sure we can do something with it. It’s your work that’s keeping this base going.
