Manisha Plassard is a doctor who worked with Professor Van Ark after the start of apocalypse but left when he became unstable. Married to Keith Carroway, she currently lives at Utopia Labs.
History[]
Pre-apocalypse[]
Manisha first met Callum Donaldson when she discovered that he had been sleeping with her wife, Andi. Manisha confronted Callum about this and he was completely honest with her. The two of them ended up talking over drinks and became friends. During this conversation, Callum told Manisha about his estranged sister who was in jail. Later, Manisha confronted Andi about the affair. Andi said that she and Callum were in love. Some time after this, Andi took an overdose of various medicines Manisha had around the house from her work as a doctor. Manisha discovered Andi on the floor of the kitchen, frothing at the mouth, but did nothing. She only called the ambulance after she was sure that Andi was dead.[1]
Manisha accompanied Callum to his interview with Keith. Her main motivation for going to Keith's house was to have sex with him.[2] During the interview, zombies broke down the door, forcing Manisha, Callum, and Keith to run for their lives.[3]
The Way of All Flesh[]
Several months into the apocalypse, Manisha, Keith, and Callum arrive at Gadsen Manor, where they meet Chris McShell, Jody Marsh, Rose, Geri Kim, and Professor Walter Huebner. Another woman, Sheila, takes shelter in a tree house outside. As the group sits down to eat, they hear the doorbell ringing. They all go to check it, but nobody is there - only the zombies crowding at the fence. They return to the dining room. Callum begins eating his stew, but suddenly starts choking and collapses. Manisha rushes to check on him, only to discover that he is dead.[3]
After the initial shock of Callum's death fades, the group splits up to investigate the manor. Manisha, Jody, and Chris go to explore the west wing. Manisha finds a control panel hidden in the wall, labelled "Property of Pandora Haze". The power light is on but the controls are unresponsive. The investigations are interrupted when Sheila screams for help from outside. Manisha, Rose, and the Prof are unwilling to risk themselves to save her, but the rest of the group works together to help Sheila make it inside the manor. However, the zombies have now breached the fence.[2]
Manisha helps to fortify the doors and windows of the building. Afterward, the group checks the laptop that Keith and the Prof found, but the hard drive has failed. Geri presents Callum's cell phone that she found earlier. It has two saved voicemails. Manisha says the voicemails are important ones that Callum liked to listen to over and over, so they decide to play them. The first one is from Manisha, in which she calls herself a murderer (in reference to Andi's death). Manisha is surprised to hear this. She was sure that the voicemails were jokes that she had sent Callum. Keith angrily accuses Manisha of killing Callum. Manisha insists she is innocent and explains her history with Callum. This calms Keith down and he offers to make Manisha some cocoa.[1]
As Keith is trying to make some cocoa, zombies begin breaking through the kitchen windows. Keith screams, which gets the attention of the others. The group manages to fight off the zombies, but they have to abandon and barricade the kitchen. Manisha, Keith, Sheila, Geri, and the Prof get to work ripping up the floorboards for materials.[4]
Rose is found strangled to death the next morning. With the knowledge that a murderer is still among them and with the zombie horde outside growing by the hour, the group decides to search the manor again for any weapons or safe rooms. Manisha and Keith find a conservatory upstairs. Keith notices something strange about it though: there shouldn't be a room in this location on the ground floor. Keith and Manisha talk for a moment, then Manisha admits she's attracted to him and asks if he wants to have sex with her. He does. And they do. Afterwards, Keith tells Manisha that he's been in love with her for months. When he asks if she feels anything for him, she dodges the question and says they should go tell the others about the potential hidden room downstairs. In the storeroom, Keith finds a switch disguised as a bottle of secret sauce. He pulls it, and the wall swings open to reveal a control room. Inside are camera feeds from all over the manor. On one screen, they see the Prof outside the fence, leaving. He's somehow found a way out and made it past the horde. On another camera they see that zombies have breached the manor. Sheila hits a button that activates the fire doors and buys them some time. Everyone flees upstairs.[5]
Chris gathers everyone together to go over the evidence once more. Then he announces his conclusion: Sheila is the killer. Sheila admits to it and explains her motivations and methods. With the murder mystery solved, the group turns to their next problem: the zombie horde surrounding the manor. Sheila offers to be a sacrifice. They lower her down to the ground floor and she uses a noisemaker to draw the zombies away, allowing the others to slip through the fence safely. Manisha finds a note from the Prof inviting her to join him at his labs. Manisha seems interested, but Keith tries to convince her to go to a cottage his friend had in Cornwall. Neither of them want to separate, so they decide to walk together to the next crossroads and then flip a coin to determine their destination.[6]

Manisha: "[My wife Andi] took an overdose. Some of the stuff I had around the house from the clinic. I found her in the kitchen, frothing at the mouth. And I just… didn’t call the ambulance… until I knew she was gone."[1]
