Geri Kim is a student who becomes involved in the events at Gadsen Manor.
History[]
Pre-apocalypse[]
Geri joined Netrophil at some point and eventually became leader of the organization. One of the other members of Netrophil managed to get a hold of an important Viking armlet. They gave the armlet to a trusted person, Callum Donaldson, to give to Geri. Callum and Geri arranged to meet at Gadsen Manor several months later.[1]
Early Apocalypse[]
Geri, her girlfriend Lisa, and Lisa's twin sons took shelter in a castle in Yorkshire, although Geri soon had to leave them to carry out her work with Netrophil.[2]
The Way of All Flesh[]
Geri arrives at Gadsen Manor alongside Rose and Professor Walter Huebner. The fourth member of their party, Sheila, takes refuge in a treehouse outside. Once inside, Geri meets Chris McShell, Jody Marsh, Keith Carroway, Manisha Plassard, and Callum. Geri expresses interest in finding a means of communication so that she can send a message to her girlfriend Lisa. As the group is sitting down to eat, they hear the doorbell ringing. They all go to check, but nobody is there - only the zombies crowding around the fence. They return to the dining room. Callum begins eating his stew, but immediately begins choking and collapses. Manisha checks him and confirms that he is dead.[3]
After the initial shock of Callum's death passes, Geri, Rose, Jody, and the Prof move his body out of the way. At this point Geri takes the armlet from Callum's body.[1] Then everyone splits up to investigate the manor. Geri finds Callum's cell phone on the table. Geri and Rose search the central area and find a broadcasting room. Unfortunately all of the equipment has been smashed to bits. The investigations are interrupted when Sheila screams for help from outside. Jody lures the zombies away from the treehouse so Sheila can climb down. Geri and Keith use rifles to kill some of the zombies. Everyone makes it safely back inside the manor, but now the zombies have breached the fence.[4]
Geri helps to fortify the doors and windows of the building. Afterward, the group checks out the laptop that Keith and the Prof found, but it seems like the hard drive has failed. Geri pulls out Callum's cell phone to check the voicemails. One of the voicemails is from Manisha, in which she calls herself a murderer. Chris and Jody take Manisha to a separate room to talk to her. Later, Chris gathers Jody, Geri, Rose, Sheila, and the Prof in one room to discuss the evidence. Chris declares that Rose is Callum's estranged sister, and Rose is the one who killed him.[5]
Rose admits to being Callum's sister but is vague about whether she killed him. Their questioning is interrupted when Keith screams from the kitchen - zombies have broken through the window. Geri helps fight them off, then tells everyone that they need to barricade the kitchen now. Geri, Sheila, Keith, Manisha, and the Prof all get to work tearing up the floorboards for materials.[6]
Rose is found strangled to death the next morning. With the knowledge that a killer is still among them and the zombie horde outside growing by the hour, the group decides to search the manor again for any weapons or safe rooms. Geri, Chris, Jody, and Sheila check the boiler room, where they find Rose's scrapbook burnt nearly to ash. Keith and Manisha soon join them, and report that there should be a secret room behind the storeroom. Keith finds the switch and the wall opens up to reveal a control room. The control room has camera feeds from all over the manor. On one screen, they see the Prof outside the manor, beyond the horde. He must have found a way out and didn't tell anyone. On another screen they see that zombies have breached the manor. Sheila hits a button that shuts the fire doors and buys them a bit more time, and everyone flees upstairs.[2]
Chris gathers everyone together, goes over the evidence one more time, and announces that Sheila is the killer. Sheila admits it and explains her motivations and methods. With the murder mystery taken care of, they turn to the next problem: the zombie horde surrounding the manor. Sheila volunteers to be a sacrifice. The group lowers her down to the ground floor and she draws the zombies away with a noisemaker, allowing the others to slip away safely. Keith and Manisha leave together. Geri admits to Chris and Jody that she is a member of Netrophil. She states that Netrophil has an interest in Abel Township. Geri then leaves, saying that she has "things to be seeing to".[1] Geri dies at an unknown time later, leaving Evan Deaubl to take over as the leader of Netrophil. Before her death, Geri stashes the Viking armlet in a graveyard to keep it hidden from Sigrid Hakkinen.[7]
