Carena is one of the children that Jamie looks after.

History[]

Pre-apocalypse[]

Carena lived in the area that would later become Holmes Settlement.[1]

Early Apocalypse[]

Carena and her classmates were on a school trip to the fire station when the zombie outbreak happened. One of the firemen, Jamie, didn't think it was safe to let the kids go home, so he decided to take care of them at the fire station.[2]

Season Two[]

Carena and Jasper go out to play on the school's playground. A horde of zombies spots them and begins heading towards them, but Runner Five and Archie Jensen are nearby and grab the children first. They try to get away, but the zombies soon surround them.[3]

Carena, Jasper, and the runners are saved when Jamie arrives on his fire truck. He uses the hose to spray the zombies and knock them to the ground. Jamie takes the kids on his shoulders and heads back to the fire station.[2]

Carena and Jasper run off to Holmes Settlement, where they used to live. After they get there, Jasper and all the other residents are turned into zombies by Van Ark, but Carena manages to get away. Jamie finds her, accompanied by Runner Five and Simon, and the adults use the anti-zombie spray to kill the zombies. But suddenly Carena starts choking and struggling to breath.[1]

Jamie think Carena is having an asthma attack, so he and the runners rush Carena back to Abel. Dr. Myers says Carena is actually having a severe allergic reaction and Simon correctly guesses that it's because of the anti-zombie spray. Carena does manage to recover.[4]

When Simon is outed as a traitor, he abducts Carena and threatens to kill her if anyone chases after him. Simon eventually drops Carena as bait for a horde of zombies, but Runner Five manages to grab her before she gets hurt. Runner Five takes Carena back to Jamie's firehouse as Jamie begins beating Simon with a baseball bat.[5]
